It was intended that this site would chronicle some of the activities of 55FST and the environment in which we worked. There were however only 13 of us and our experiences of Dhofar were limited. Others have now broadened and deepened the range of this site far beyond the original concept.  If you have any contributions that you wish to make about this, or any other of the FSTs,  RAMC, RAF or even RN..... or what it was like to live and work in Dhofar at the time of the insurgency please contact :

Some of the *.pdf files on this site have been created with Paperport and will not display on some browsers. I will gradually correct them once people identify them to me. I can do nothing about the Apple refusal to readily display Adobe.pdf on iMac, iPad etc. I will tinker with the video so that there is an alternative to the Windows format which will show on Apple devices.
