The reports that the COs
of the FSTs sent back
to the MOD were apparently shredded in 1978 as
there had been no need for them for two years.
This obviously frustrated any
attempts to consult them as they no longer existed!
The original reports may
have been shredded but at least one of the surgeons held
on to the draft copies of those reports securely lodged
in his garage in Co Mayo.
