New Operating theatre

More than a little skulduggery went into the appropriation of this Tywnham hut for the FST. Had we not had this facilty I don't doubt that the outcome from both the Officers' Mess RCL and Mirbat  would not have been as favourable.

The left had half of the hut was destined to become the reception/resuscitation area and the right hand side was to be the operating theatre. The older Twynham hut on the right had a sign above the door which read "Rainford Ward" and was used as a postoperative ward. I believe that Rainford was a former camp SMO
